Valorant indeed is one of the best games by Riot Games. But well, every game has some major and minor bugs and glitches and so does Valorant. Many players have been reporting several issues with the game such as Deathmatch spawn issues after the 4.03 update, packet loss error, and many others.
Recently, many players are complaining about lagging and desyncing issues whenever they press Alt+Tab to switch out from the game and come back in. Some other players are also reporting that the game drops FPS when they switch out from the application. Because of this issue, the game becomes unplayable which is quite frustrating. Players have already tried several workarounds that include restarting the game, updating graphics drivers, and reinstalling the game but nothing works.
But, there is a potential fix shared by some users which you can also try.
A Potential Fix: If you are using an NVIDIA graphics card, toggle to NVIDIA Reflex OFF and then again set it ON. And if you are an AMD user, you can try to turn down the resolution and set it again to what it was.
This trick works for some players so you can also give it a try.
If this doesn’t work, don’t worry! The developers are aware of this problem. Thankfully, the developers of the game have already commented on this matter and replied, they are investigating lagging and desyncing issues when pressing Alt+Tab.
Since Riot Games has officially been acknowledged, they will surely find out the real reason as well as solution to get rid of this issue. Meanwhile, you can try the above-mentioned solution shared by one of the players.
That’s everything you need to know about a potential fix of desync and lagging issues in Valorant.
