Overwatch 2: Can You Fix Unexpected Server Error in PvP Beta

Overwatch 2

The Overwatch 2 Beta looks stunning and it is surely a blast. Players and critics are praising this latest hero shooter video game which is a sequel to the popular Overwatch. Unfortunately, like other titles, this game also has some issues and bugs.

Recently, many unlucky players are receiving “Unexpected server error” in Overwatch 2 PvP Beta. This error has started appearing about 4 to 5 hours after the game streams. Particularly, once players started receiving drop access, downloading the game, and joining the session, they receive “Unexpected server error”.

Many players are rushing to try this name and that results in such errors and issues. Well, Jon Spector, the commercial leader of Overwatch 2 has confirmed that the team has been adding server capacity to manage the rush.

So, this issue should be resolved gradually. If you are running into this error, you only need to wait in the queue and hope for the best.

Many players have already tried some generic workarounds that include restarting the internet connection, relaunching the game, and changing settings in the firewall but nothing helps.

So, just wait patiently until the server load reduces and the issue will get resolved automatically.

I am a mechanical engineer in a day job and my passion for gaming led to this website. I enjoy games that have bit of a story depth and mostly single player. One of my favorites is Horizon Zero Dawn. I also dabble in multiplayer, but not battle royals, mostly because I am not good at it. Occasionally, I do enjoy trending survival games such as the latest Valheim and Muck. I have another website where I write more often VGNerdsAtWork.
