When you try to launch Chivalry 2 on Windows 7 system, you will get an error saying – ‘The program can’t start because XINPUT1_4.dll is missing from your computer’.

According to this error, you have a ‘.dll’ file missing which is already available on the later version of the Windows systems. So, to fix this problem, check out the following step-by-step guide.

Step 1: Go to C:\Windows\System32.

Step 2: Locate a ‘xinput1_3.dll’ file and copy it.

Step 3: Once you copied, rename that file to ‘xinput1_4.dll’.

Step 4: After renaming the file, you will be able to launch the game but you will get Black Screen issue and nothing will happen. To resolve this, go to the next step.

Step 5: Keep ready another Window and now launch the “Chivalry 2” and when the game popped up, keep clicking on that another window continuously until the Black Screen comes up.

Step 6: After a few seconds, you will be able to see ‘Torn Banner Studios’ logo and that’s it! The game will start running without any problem on your Windows 7 system.
