Fortnite: Battle Royal Crashing Due to Emote and Matrix Items

Fortnite Battle Royal Crashing Due to Emote and Matrix Items

Fortnite is a free-to-play Battle Royale game with several game modes for all types of game players released back in September 2017 but the developers continue to deliver new stuff and content. The game gets new Emote and Matrix items based on the classic movie.

If you have no idea about these new Matrix items added in the game, well Fortnite has collaborated recently with ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ movie which is released recently. The game has 2 new emotes in which one of the famous actions is incorporated where Neo dodges all bullets in slow motion. And the next one is the floating kick of Trinity. Along with these emotes, Fortnite has also introduced a wrap that has a Matrix symbol and its cost is 500 V-Bucks.

But many players around the world are reporting an issue related to these new items. Players experience game crashing issues every time when they attempt to access emotes.

It is important to note that largely PC users are reporting this issue. But, some of the console users are also complaining their game is crashing due to recently added emote and matrix items in Fortnite: Battle Royale.

The error message itself suggests switching to DirectX 11 mode but that doesn’t work because there are many players playing the game on DirectX 11 having the same issue.

Sadly, Epic Games has not yet acknowledged this issue in which emote and matrix items are crashing the game. Since Reddit and other forums are flooded with these bug reports, the developer will surely say something about it and release the fix in its upcoming update/patch.

I am a mechanical engineer in a day job and my passion for gaming led to this website. I enjoy games that have bit of a story depth and mostly single player. One of my favorites is Horizon Zero Dawn. I also dabble in multiplayer, but not battle royals, mostly because I am not good at it. Occasionally, I do enjoy trending survival games such as the latest Valheim and Muck. I have another website where I write more often VGNerdsAtWork.
