1. One of the first things you can do is to delete Vjoy – A virtual joystick program that is used at the time of controller drivers’ installation for steering wheels.

2. If you have never used Vjoy and still your controllers are not working in Elden Ring, then run on “Xbox Configuration Support” and “Generic Gamepad Configuration Support” can work. You can find this setting in Steam > Settings > General Controller Settings. 

3. The next thing you can try is to disable the Steam overlay and then check if the controller is working in Elden Ring or not.

4. One of the users also suggested unplugging your keyboard and mouse before starting the game.

Configuration of your controller on Steam
