Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 is out now and the name of this new season is “Vibin” the island is one giant party is out now and many players have already started enjoying the new features and mechanics included in the game. However, some of the players are facing some minor issues after updating the game.
When players accept a friend request, then the other player who sends the friend request typically receives an error notification on their main menu screen. This error notification is taking up a lot of part of the screen and keeps pinging while playing the game and so it has become bothersome for many players. But thankfully, there is a workaround you can try to get rid of this error notification in Fortnite.
How to Temporarily Fix Fortnite Friend Request Glitch
It is important to note, that by performing the following troubleshooting steps, the glitch will not be fixed but the error notification will not appear on the main menu. Here we are going to toggle some options in the settings.
1. Go to the party screen and open up the menu.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Go to the Account and Privacy section.
4. Scroll down the list and go to the “Show Social Notifications” settings.
5. If the setting is set On, then turn it off.
6. Close down the Fortnite application and run it again so that the changes can be applied.
7. If you turn on the settings again, and restart the game, you will start getting notifications again.
Again, this is a temporary fix that you can try to get rid of the error notification. Since this issue is from the developers’ side, players can’t do anything on their end to solve the issue.
Hopefully, the issue will get resolved automatically once the Epic Games release a new patch as early as possible until then you can try this tactic to fix the issue temporarily.
