Apex Legends is one of the best battle royale games. Since its release in Feb 2019, this game has number of bugs and glitches. Some of them have already been fixed by the developer but some others are still occurring such as problem processing game logic errors.
Unfortunately, many players are now reporting they are receiving a DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error after crashing the game. DXGI Stands for Direct X Graphics Infrastructure which basically acts as the mediator between Apex Legends and NVIDIA’s GPU. That means, whenever you receive this error, then Direct X is having some issues forming the connection between these two.
Players have already tried certain generic workarounds to fix this issue but nothing worked. In fact, you really can’t do anything to get rid of the DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error in Apex Legends.
This issue doesn’t only trigger when attempting to access Apex Legends but some players have also experienced crashing issues even in the middle of the game.
Thankfully, the developer team is already aware of this crashing issue that many players are experiencing currently.
The main issue seems in the NVIDIA GPU drivers. So, the technical team is working with the NVIDIA team to fix the issue as early as possible. But, they have not revealed the ETA for the arrival.
